Case Study: The Civic Almanac – Shaping Leadership Futures in Charlotte
The Civic Almanac emerged to equip community leaders with tools to navigate the evolving demands of future leadership. Designed and facilitated by Point A Studio, the project united leaders to reflect on traditions, explore innovation, and chart bold strategies for a thriving future.

From Input to Interbeing
Despite good intentions, many public engagement processes remain transactional, time-bound, and symbolic. They ask people to show up, speak up, and then move on. These forms of participation tend to reinforce the illusion that listening has occurred, while leaving little space for transformation or relationship.

As part of the Cultural Organizing for Community Change convening hosted by Arts & Democracy and Naturally Occurring Cultural Districts NY (NOCD-NY), point A studio facilitated the "FutureCraft: Collective Imagination for Thriving Neighborhoods" workshop. This immersive two-hour session engaged a diverse group of organizers, artists, media makers, and policy makers in reimagining the future of their neighborhoods and identifying bold actions to realize those visions.
